ardelle schneider is a photographer and artist who currently lives and works in düsseldorf. in 2020 she successfully completed her bachelor's degree in communication design at the peter behrens school of arts (PBSA) in düsseldorf. in 2023 she completed her master's degree in photography studies and practice at the folkwang university of the arts in essen.
her photo book "butterflies and caterpillars" appeared on the shortlist for the kassel dummy awards in 2020 and was published two years later by the book publisher kettler. some of her works have already been part of various group exhibitions, including at the folkwang museum in essen. in 2023, ardelle received the bronze medal in the graduate category of the german photo book prize 2023/24 for her work “family stories”.
