the work "butterflies and caterpillars" offers an intimate insight into today's drag scene. a scene where identity and the construction of the self play a major role. I accompanied a drag queen in the states over a long period of time and quickly experienced the affinity and sensitivity withn the community. does clothing change our behaviour? and to what extent does it reveal something from the inside to the outside? to what extent does the outer appearance affect our impact on others? what hides behind all the layers? the medium of photography was the tool I used to extract the delicacies of the characters, that veiled behind the loud masquerades and make them visible.
